More than words are the pictures of Palinurothat says it all. Capo Palinuro stretches out west about 2 Km.
At its summit is situated the meteorological station that is in the old signal-station of the italian navy,
and the white tower of the light house.

The flow of the river Lambro that leads to the "Cala della Marinella" separates the promontory from,
what legend wants, "The home of the mermaids". On the hill of the Molpa, which is the site of the ancient
village, it is still possible the ruins of medieval castle. To the north, the village of Palinuro extends
to the location of "Ficucella" emerging with the immense beach of the Saline.

L'Architiello e l'Arco Naturale
are two magnificent rock structures sculpted by the wind and the sea, both facing south,
|
framing this tract of coast that is even more spectacular with the presence of the torpid
Scoglio del Coniglio that owes its name to its rocky form of a rabbit.
